A submission for a contest that required for there to be professional equipment and slow pacing to emulate a movie while advertising a product with an original concept tied to it. Directing and shot choice was stressed.

What you will see is a short segment of a concept that revolves around a delicious burger that the protagonist desires to eat throughout the film, while the microwave keeps either under or overheating the food — then turning to sinister and ominous methods to prevent the protagonist from enjoying his meal.

This takes the relatively light-hearted and relatable anecdote of when you are really hungry and want to eat the food but the microwave did not heat it to a desired temperature and runs it into absurdity. At a certain point, the time on the microwave starts going in reverse, turning back time, as the protagonist has to fight his future and past self for the chance to eat.

At the end, it is presented that our imaginary microwave brand that we are advertising heats food to the perfect temperature and fights off all these evil interdimensional demons.

The pacing and direction was the focus: uncomfortable and slightly unsettling in the beginning, made to feel like a slow-burn before turning chaotic — reminiscent of a David Fincher movie.
