Hello! 

If you are receiving this, we consider you part of our extended Open Scene family. As we try to connect artists and lovers of art and pay homage to Latinx and Afro-diasporic culture in the Orlando area, it is more important than ever for us to receive donations to do so. We know you likely donate to several organizations at this time of year, and we hope to make it to the top of your list! 

Your Impact? 

1.) You see your contribution at work through the several contests, events, and installations we host. Without you, prize pools and production value are not up to par with what we hope to offer. 

2.) We organize a rich selection for anyone’s taste: live music, theatre, playwriting, dance, clubs, classes, etc -- centered around helping learn about the inclusive and beautiful Latinx / Afro-diasporic culture. 

3) Get involved and leave your permanent mark to better Orlando culture. We catalogue all of our events and organize them into archives and memory books for everyone to see.

[I obviously don’t have full grasp of the impact and I gathered this by studying the website but it would help to see upper-level opinions on this. Hinted at adding a donor structure to kind of ramp up to big donations and outline that small donations are important and provide structure for that. Assumed donor demographic is upper-class elderly.]

What spans 3 continents and has reached 15 different countries? 

Our annual Hispanic playwriting contest, Escena Abierta, is entering its 6th year in 2026. With a blind jury selecting one winner to receive a cash prize for a written play, we are looking for a Title Sponsor, a sole exclusive benefactor, to help elevate this contest to greater heights, farther reach, and larger impact. 

We’ve produced dozens of performances and supported over 500 artists, and this particular event allows playwrights to showcase their creativity, and donors to align their brand with equity, inclusion, and artistic excellence while gaining recognition across our global network and media outreach. 

See your contribution come to life immediately as we stage a professional reading of the play in a curated venue in Orlando. 

Title Sponsor has the chance to reach an audience invested in the arts, get a marketing table and a curtain call speech during the reading, brand title in contest name and supporting media prior to reading, and watermark in lasting records to cherish forever.
