Xian Jiang owns all rights to raw material, video script, and concept.
This fashion influencer was looking for a reel that portrayed her fashion week as balancing several jobs and castings. It was supposed to show the chaos of her schedule but still portray her lifestyle as fun and worthwhile.
A voice over was provided, and very specific instructions were given regarding length, aesthetics, etc. Client wanted "lightning fast" intro and then a busy but not "overwhelming" rest of video.
The goal was to make a standout piece that fell into the niche of lifestyle fashion content but also stood out.
We balance personality and "resume building" — a concept I use to define listing all the productive things you do with your day and how you further your career in shortform narrations.
The voice over is focused and does this "resume building" while the visuals give an insight into client's personality (biting glove while on a business call, cat messing around on the computer as she does grad school work, and more).
This culminates in both personality and professionalism merging when the video finishes with a night-out as Xian gives a philosophical close to the narration— that even her lifestyle is hectic, she wouldn't prefer it any other way.
